Spaces still available on courses on how to deliver engineering subjects in primary schools
Harrogate College, working in partnership with the Imagineering Foundation, is offering professional training for Primary School Teachers. The programme will develop skills and knowledge in delivering science and engineering topics and help to encourage children to become the next generation of engineers and scientist.
*Spaces are still available on the day course on Friday 16th March 2012.
Cost: only £99 including lunch
09,30am-10.30am – Introduction to Imagineering
10.45am – 3.00pm – Practical activity making Imagineering kits – Telescope and Micrometer*
This practical training helps teachers to introduce engineering and technology and inspire primary school children and covers the use of proven Imagineering kits.
In the Imagineering Clubs children learn basic maths skills and follow set instructions to make models that they use, enhancing technological abilities and then they take them home when complete – and most importantly, have fun too!
Manufacturing industry and engineering are major contributors to the wealth of the UK and will be for the foreseeable future. To compete in changing global markets and technologies they depend on a stream of young talent coming forward. Imagineering’s aim is to help to inspire the engineers of the future – this course helps teachers to join in this exciting project.
