IMAGINEERING WMIF CHALLENGE TROPHY GOES TO STRATFORD SCHOOL

Imagineering WMIF Challenge 2013 has been awarded to the Imagineering Club in Shottery St Andrew.

The annual Imagineering WMIF Challenge, funded by the West Midlands Industrial Foundation (WMIF) has been won this year by the young members of the Imagineering Club at Shottery St Andrew’s C of E Primary School near Stratford-upon-Avon. The Challenge was based on the longest average flight times of the model helicopters made by the children in their Club.

This is the first year that the Club has been run at the school, thanks to financial support from Stratford Town Trust and also the Machine Technologies Association (MTA) which funded the Club’s tool box.

Imagineering Chairman, Bob Shanks, presented the stunning trophy at a special ceremony at the school to be retained by them for the year and the school also receives a certificate for permanent display.

Many of Imagineering Clubs, like the one at Shottery St Andrew, are run by volunteer engineer tutors and there are well over 30 across Warwickshire.
