The Imagineering WMIF Challenge 2012 has been won by the Fillongley Imagineering Club.
The Club is run by Claire and Richard Markham and this year’s Challenge, funded by the West Midlands Industrial Foundation, (WMIF), involved speed trials with Bloodhound balloon car models, made in the Imagineering Clubs.
Imagineering Chairman, Bob Shanks, presented the trophy to the Club at a recent ceremony. The trophy, to be awarded annually, will be passed onto each successive winner and the winning Clubs retain a certificate for display. The stunning trophy was designed and made by Martin Peach, former designer at Land Rover UK, and is made up of iridised glass tiles and marbles.
Other Imagineering Clubs that took part in this year’s Challenge included Dunchurch Primary School, All Saints Primary at Leek Wootton, Wilmcote Primary School and Swan Lane at Evesham.
