Imagineering had another successful event at the Royal Bath & West Show
The Imagineering Fair at the annual four-day event at the Bath & West Showground at Shepton Mallet, Somerset, welcomed over 20,000 visitors through the marquee.
Thousands of excited youngsters scampered through the marquee sampling the wide range of activities laid on by an impressive line up of national and international blue chip companies, utilities and colleges. From high technology to simple table top challenges, from robots to building services activities, there was something for all tastes and abilities. With extremes of weather from hot sun to thunderstorms, the standholders provided scores of fun STEM activities for quality engagements for children of all ages.
New participants included AMRC’s MANTRA, down from Sheffield, and Wiltshire College.
The Bath & West Society President, Mrs Mary Prior CVO MBE JP, paid a visit - and sportingly got hands on with some brick laying as well as having a go with the Imagineering Hydraulic Arm!
The Imagineering Team Challenge Trophy was won - after 4 days of challenges and with a narrow margin - by Leonardo Helicopters, after a tie-break with Thales.
The Passport Prize Draw was won by an 8-year-old in Wareham.
All in all it was a very busy but very enjoyable week.
