Imagineering displays its wares at Connect with the Countryside

This special event, a free educational day for children from Years 5 and 6, was organised by the South of England Agricultural Society at Ardingly, near Haywards Heath in Sussex, It was designed to encourage the children to think about where their food comes from and the processes involved in getting food from the field to the table. The chidren had an opportunity to learn about food, farming, the countryside and the environment. through various ‘hands-on’ activities.
Bob Shanks and Jane Mottram of Imagineering welcomed 2500 children and their teachers to the Imagineering stand where they could learn about Imagineering Clubs and also about engineering and technology in farming with a specially adapted Hydraulic Arm activity. A hot, hectic but rewarding time and lots of interest in Imagineering!
