Once again there will be four days of fun and games, action and challenges - Wednesday 1 - Saturday 4 June 2016 at the Royal Bath & West Show, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

The exciting Imagineering Fair has a fantastic line-up of organisations, all bringing scores of free fun engineering and technology activities specially developed for children.

Packed full with mind-blowing displays and activities, there is something for everyone with opportunities to see behind some of the fascinating technology used in modern manufacturing, energy and defence that affects our everyday lives.

Come and see the simulators, mechanical challenges and hands-on electronics. There are all kinds of things to make and do from flying a mini sub and building a cannon to making an models to take home or building and racing a buggy. There is plenty to keep youngsters of all ages and abilities occupied for hours – and adults will be fascinated too! Most of the action takes place undercover so is weatherproof.

Outside the marquee visitors can see a life size model of the BLOODHOUND SSC (Super Sonic Car) jet and rocket powered racing car in its own orange inflatable tunnel and try out the BLOODHOUND Driving Experience in the marquee. Haynes Motor Museum will be displaying stunning vintage vehicles for people to marvel at early engineering. In the Imagineering Workshop youngsters can go one-to-one with an engineer, learn how to use tools and make a working model they can take home. Members of the West of England Childrens’ University will be able to get the own special CU ‘passports’ stamped at Imagineering when they have completed some activity. And young visitors should look out for Tommy from Thales!
