Imagineering wins the Gold Award for Best Feature in Show for 6th time
The Imagineering Fair at the 150th Royal Bath & West Show at Shepton Mallet, Somerset once again has proved to be a highlight of this annual show – thanks to all the efforts of the participating organisations who presented scores of fun engineering and technology activities for youngsters.
A major attraction at the Fair was the BLOODHOUND SSC Super Sonic Car set to break the World Land Speed Record. The stunning show car and the Driving Experience were very popular with visitors.
BLOODHOUND Project Director, Richard Noble, dropped in to present the IMAGINEERING TEAM CHALLENGE TROPHY to winning team Rolls-Royce. The Team Challenge, which took place in the Imagineering Arena each day, was hotly contested between a dozen teams from the Imagineering Fair participants. All the teams entered into the spirit of the occasion with lovely silly stunts, some involving water – always a fun element!
Youngsters had lots to do and see and a wide variety of activities were on offer. Stands were buzzing with excited youngsters learning about modern engineering and technology through personal involvement.
Over 19500 visitors came through the Imagineering marquee and overall the Show gate figures reflected the special anniversary event and the fine weather.
