Secondary school pupils get fun taste of engineering
The Imagineering team took the roadshow to the Next Generation Innovators Day at the Malvern Showground, Worcestershire, part of the week-long Malvern Festival of Innovation.
The event was aimed at Year 7 - 9 pupils providing them with a taste of a wide range of STEM subjects. Over 20 schools from across the region sent pupils to the event where they were also able to learn about the exciting career opportunities available to them.
Imagineering had a number of desk top challenges - Maths, Magnetics, Materials - as well as a chance for some fun reminding them about the principles of Conductivity. The Hydraulic Arm Challenge was popular as ever and another of Imagineering’s projects, the Imagibot, was also showcased.
This annual event is popular to visitors and participants and this year the lineup included: IMechE, IET, Inst of Physics, Mazak, Qinetiq, Worcester Bosch, Malvern Instruments, Peter Jones Foundation to name a few.
