Imagineering ‘regulars’ – Airbus, Fleet Air Arm Museum, GE Aviation, GE Oil & Gas, Michael Denny and his Meccano and a Clubs stand – took over half of what turned out to be a very busy hangar and the busiest on site at the RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day. Imagineering was one of few places on site with activity specifically targeted at youngsters and many came back more than once to enjoy the wide variety of hands-on fun.
Around 30,000 visitors poured into the airfield for a fantastic display of aircraft both on the ground and in the air – with special ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ reserved for the iconic Spitfires and Vulcan. It was a baking hot day but a very successful event – especially for Imagineering!
