Imagineering took over a corner of the Techno Zone with hands-on fun

The Imagineering team took its roadshow to the inaugural Scampton Air Show at RAF Scampton on the outskirts of Lincoln this last weekend. It had been invited to join in the fun with some STEM activities in the Techno Zone, sponsored by Rolls-Royce, with other organisations including Siemens, Northrop Grumann, Rolls-Royce and the RAF.

The Air Show, the first to take place at the home of the Red Arrows, the RAF’s aerobatics display team, was a great success with over 50,000 visitors over the weekend, nearly 900 of whom engaged with the maths, magnets and other challenges on the Imagineering stand.

In spite of some challenging weather (thunderstorms and high winds) there were some fabulous air displays and plenty of activities, demonstrations and exhibitions on the ground to keep everyone occupied and entertained between actions in the air.

The Scampton Air Show hopefully will return next year.
