Imagineering and its supporters take fun and games to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford
This major international air show attracted over 130,000 visitors over the weekend. Over 8000 of these came through a marquee full of fascinating engineering and technology activities laid on by Imagineering regulars – Airbus, Aero Engine Controls, Army, GE Aviation, Imagineering Clubs, IMarEST, REME and Rolls-Royce. Goodrich and BLOODHOUND SSC were also there to provide extra fun.
The RAF Charitable Trust generously supported Imagineering’s presence at the tattoo for the seventh year, shared in the marquee with RAF recruiters in the TRI@RIAT youth area. The Trust had also provided new eye-catching signage and planters, upgrading the image of the whole marquee.
The weather remained kind during the show days and visitors were treated to spectacular air displays as well as fun on the ground from Daleks and Star Wars Storm Troopers to Airfix – and of course Imagineering.
