Imagineering and supporters took part in Yeovilton Air Day, near Ilchester
Imagineering spent a lovely day with GE Aviation, Thales UK and Yeovil College, taking over Hangar 8 at the RNAS Yeovilton air station at the international Yeovilton Air Day.
Everyone provided a wide range of fun activities for youngsters who, in between viewing the fabulous air displays, were kept well-occupied. There was everything from paper plane building and flying (with very competitive parents!) to mechanical and mathematical challenges to programming and flight simulators. All the demonstrations and activities illustrated the fantastic advanced technology in the world around us - and most importantly the careers that are available.
As well as providing fun hands-on inspiring stuff, it is also an opportunity for Imagineering to showcase its own work in the Imagineering Clubs and other Imagineering activity in schools.
This busy and popular annual air show has been a regular gig for Imagineering for a few years and always attracts a lot of attention from visitors of all ages.
Outside the hangar the static displays and stunning aerial acrobatics drew gasps and rapt attention from the visiting thousands - not least for the iconic Red Arrows Display team who never fail to impress.
A good day for everyone.
