IMAGINEERING CHAIRMAN WINS ANOTHER AWARD!
Bob Shanks receives special award from Worshipful Guild of Engineers
He is congratulated here by two young visitors to the Imagineering stand at the recent Design & Technology Show (for teachers) at the NEC.
Following his special Award from the IET earlier this year, Imagineering Chairman Bob Shanks has received yet another award! The Worshipful Guild of Engineers has presented him with The Stephenson Award for excellence in inspiring young people into engineering. He was nominated by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers of which he is a Member. With customary modesty, he said: “To receive these two Awards and so close together, has been a great privilege but more importantly it is recognition for the success of the Imagineering initiative. It pays tribute to the scores of volunteers who work hard weekly in the Clubs and at the annual Fairs to make this inspiring work such a success.”
