Imagineering takes part in Air Day
On one of the hottest weekends of the summer, Imagineering took some fun activities down to the RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day, Ilchester in Somerset.
The team took a good sized pitch in the STEM Hangar along with GE Aviation and Yeovil College. Sponsored by Lockheed Martin, the hangar also included some fascinating displays and demonstrations by the Royal Navy.
With cloudless skies the visitors were treated to a full programme of aerial displays and demonstrations. But the blistering heat did drive some visitors undercover into the STEM Hangar Over 35,000 visitors were expected to this annual event and nearly 500 of them visited the Imagineering stand. There were the usual table top challenges, a very popular Flight Zone for flying paper planes and a new feature, the K’Nex table where youngsters produced some amazing models of planes and vehicles.
This is a regular date on the Imagineering calendar and offers opportunities for youngsters to stretch their imaginations, learn some new skills and learn what Imagineering has to offer.
