The annual Imagineering Fair at the Royal Bath & West Show in Shepton Mallet, Somerset was an amazing success with record visitor figures of over 24600. Thousands of visitors were treated to scores of fascinating fun activities and mind-blowing STEM demonstrations by some well-known local, national and international companies.
Mechanical challenges, electronics, puzzles and codes, maths problems, robots, virtual reality, things to make and do - there was something for everyone.
The joint Presidents of the Royal Bath & West Society, Lord and Lady Fellowes made separate visits - and were having as much fun as the children!
‘Tommy Thales’ dropped in and was making friends.
The Imagineering Team Challenge trophy was taken from last year’s winners, Rolls-Royce, by Airbus UK after some fun challenges throughout the week.
The Imagineering Fair also featured in BBC TV’s Points West as well as various radio stations.
The Imagineering Foundation team thanks the Royal Bath & West Society, the Fair standholders, the volunteers and all its visitors - who made this event possible.
The final Fair line-up was: AgustaWestland, Airbus UK, Berry & Escott Engineering, BLOODHOUND SSC, BMT Defence Services, Bridgwater College, Doosan Babcock, EDF Energy, Fleet Air Arm Museum, GE Aviation, GE Oil & Gas, Imagineering Clubs, Inst. of Engineering Technology, Maplin Electronics, Rolls-Royce, Royal Navy, Thales UK, University of West of England and Yeovil College.
