Special STEM Event hosted by Red Arrows
The Imagineering team joined a number of organisations including Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, AMRC, Aston Martin, Sheffield University, Siemens and Qinetiq to provide some exciting fun engineering and technology activities for pupils from 20 schools from around Lincolnshire at a very special STEM event organised by EBP and hosted by the Red Arrows team at RAF Scampton near Lincoln.
As well as fun activities, pupils were also addressed by the station commander and there was an inspirational welcome from Wing Commander Andy Green, who is set to break world records with BLOODHOUND SSC in due course. Jason Bradbury of The Gadget Show also dropped in and entertained the groups.
A high point of the everyone’s day was a special aerial show by the Red Arrows for the visitors - in spite of the low cloud, the pilots put on an impressive display. When the pilots landed they happily came in to the hangar to talk to the pupils and sign autographs.
There were a lot of very excited and inspired young people who went home that day with a store of happy memories of a fantastic event.
