FORMER IMAGINEERING CLUB MEMBER AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS APPRENTICESHIP

At Aston Martin

Carlos F

The Harris Church of England Academy in Rugby is celebrating Carlos F’s achievement of being awarded a place on the prestigious Aston Martin apprenticeship scheme and is very proud of Carlos.

He had this to say. “At the beginning I was unaware of what engineering was, after studying Imagineering in year 7 I was truly inspired to pursue an engineering career.

Over time I attended various courses, one of which was attended by Aston Martin. From that point on I knew I wanted to work for Aston Martin. I was lucky enough to gain a work experience placement with Aston Martin in the manufacturing and engineering department. This amazing experience motivated me to pursue my dream of working for the luxury sports car manufacturer.

I have a conditional offer for an Aston Martin apprenticeship scheme and I am en-route to a lifetime of open doors and opportunities!”

Tony Conway, one of the Carlos’s Tutors in the Imagineering Club said: “This is splendid news and a good illustration of how pupils can be inspired at a young age in Imagineering Clubs to go on to maximise amazing opportunities and to become engineers of the future.”

Well done and good luck Carlos!
