COUNTDOWN TO FUN & FROLICS WITH IMAGINEERING AT 2014 LONDON MODEL ENGINEERING EXHIBITION

IMAGINEERING returns to this great event at Alexandra Palace, London on 17-19 January 2014

There will be loads of fun STEM activities for youngsters and the Imagineering team will be highlighting opportunities to go ‘imagineering’ throughout the year in the Imagineering Clubs. Regular supporter Michael Denny will be bringing some of his stunning collection of Meccano models – with plenty of buttons to push, handles to turn and bells to ring! There will also be some new surprises on the Imagineering stand including 3D printing.

Youngsters can also get hands-on with Morse Code messaging; explore magnetism and electricity, make paper helicopters and straw bridges, as well as some robots to operate – to name just a few of the fun ideas. The Imagineering Workshop will be ‘open for business’ where youngsters can sit down one-to-one with an engineer to learn how to use tools to make a simple item they can take home.

This is a fascinating exhibition to see some fantastic scale models made by engineers and Robot Wars also has a presence. Imagineering shows the youngsters how they can become the engineers of the future and develop the skills to make these kind of models.
