Engineers at both companies undergo training as tutors
Two major UK companies are supporting Imagineering through funding for Imagineering Clubs at local schools and providing engineers as tutors.
Young engineers from Sulzer Pumps Ltd in Leeds and Xaar plc in Huntingdon took part in training days at their respective company sites, led by Imagineering’s Bob Young and Joy Smith.
They were given an introduction to Imagineering, its background and ethos and the basics on running a Club successfully. And they had some real hands-on training, putting together an Aeroglide and a Bench Micrometer - and learnt to appreciate how things are presented for young pupils to understand - and enjoy.
Great fun was had by all - trainers and trainees!
