STUDENTS ‘FROLIC WITH HYDRAULICS’ WITH IMAGINEERING AT REDDITCH

Imagineering joins in SCI-TECH’s annual One-Day Conference with ‘Hydraulics for Frolics activity.

The event, for Year 12 (6th Form 1st Year) A-Level Science and Technology students from Worcester, Redditch and Bromsgrove areas, aimed to help them understand how science is used in industry, encouraging them to consider a scientific career. During the event the students were able to extend their scientific knowledge beyond the school curriculum and discuss practical examples of science in action with people from industry.
Imagineering has been proud to serve on the voluntary organising committee for SCI-TECH and to run a practical hands-on session during the event, showing some aspect of the engineering industry. This year this has taken the form of a team competition to construct a working model hydraulic arm, one of Imagineering’s more advanced models. The session went very well and all the students were able to complete the construction and work the arm in the allotted time.
