A highlight to Imagineering’s 10th year at the Royal Bath & West Show, the Award was a fitting tribute to the hard work, support and dedication of all the participating organisations and volunteers. Many manufacturers, engineering organisations, military units and education establishments worked hard to make this year’s event such a success during the show and over the last few months.

The Show was held during school term this year enabling the organisers to offer free school trips. Over 4000 schoolchildren visited the Imagineering Fair during the first three days of the Show. On the final day, around 9000 people came through the Imagineering marquee – including some children who had been with their school and brought their parents back at the weekend!

Congratulations must go to the BMT Group who wrested the Imagineering Team Challenge Trophy from holders AgustaWestland in a hotly fought contest during the week.

The Fair received nothing but praise from VIPs and visitors ranging from Bath & West Society staff and Council, parents, teachers and children to Brigadiers, Colonels, CEOs and even the Duke of Westminster! The Bath & West Society President, Sir Henry Elwes KCVO, adjusted his schedule to take in a special visit to the Fair!

Rod Cannon, Event Manager, said: “This was another great Fair thanks to all the organisations who supported it, financially and with the hard-working teams offering such fantastic engineering activities for children.”
