For the annual RAF Cosford Air Show
Hotfoot from Somerset and the Bath & West Show, part of the Imagineering outreach team went to RAF Cosford to take part in the ground activities at this popular annual air show.
Imagineering had a colourful stand of activity in the STEM Hangar, sponsored in part by Leonardo and Rolls-Royce, alongside major players such as aforesaid Rolls-Royce, Leonardo, Airbus, Inst of Physics, IMechE, DSTL (Porton Down), AMRC and a number of RAF organisations, to name a few.
At Imagineering the young visitors could get their teeth into some maths and magnetic activities, hydraulic arm challenge, learn about fuses - and there was even a Flight Zone for all ages to do some target practice with a paper plane!
The Air Show attracted 50,000 visitors and weather was fair for some amazing aerial displays from all kinds and ages of aircraft - as well as the eponymous Red Arrows.
