Imagineering returned to the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace, London
The Imagineering team joined in the fun and games at a busy London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace recently and took some old chums along: Michael Denny with his amazing Meccano models; young engineers from REME (the Army’s Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) and Alan Myatt from IMarEST (marine engineers) and Imagineering volunteers. It was a busy three days with scores of excited visitors to the large Imagineering stand, the younger ones joining in the activities.

As a retired engineer, I was delighted to see the youngsters involved in engineering at the Ally Pally. 57 years ago I took photographs of things I had made to an interview and they secured me an apprenticeship, and an enjoyable job for life. Not only is there a shortage of engineering graduates, my own model club suffers from a lack of young members wishing to create things. I am now actively trying to introduce Imagineering class to my local Primary school.
Well done all…..John K
